We will be offering our Wolfcub Grade 4-6 Volleyball Fun-damentals Training - for those at the start of their volleyball journey.
We are also introducing a program geared for Multi-sport athletes and those with other commitments: Synergy Multi-Sport & Development League (Grade 6-10 Boys & Girls) - 1 night a week and playdays and events.
We are expecting to field 1 High performance "Wolfpack" team at each of the following age groups:
1 - U12/13 Girls team | 1 - U14 Girls team | 1 - U15 Girls team | 1 - U16 Girls team | 1 - U17/18 Girls team
We will field 1 High performance "Wolfpack SELECTS" team at each for the gr9(U15) Age group for1 boys team and 1 girls team.
Application and Registration info have been posted.
Space will be limited so you are encouraged to register early to ensure being accepted in the programs.

Club Team Positions Still Available

We are still looking to fill positions on the following teams:
U14/15 Boys looking for middles, and powers
U17Girls looking for middles, and powers

Teams will train from RE Mountain Secondary School or Peter Ewart Middle School.

Program Name: Grade 4-6 Wolfcub Volleyball Fundamentals Training


Duration: 9 weeks - Term 1 January to Spring Break - Term 2 Post Spring Break to end of May
Frequency:
Once per week - Mondays
Target Group:
Boys and girls in Grades 4-7

Overview:
This program is designed to introduce young athletes to the essential volleyball skills of bump, set, and spike in a fun, inclusive environment. Each term runs for 10 weeks, the program focuses on teaching proper techniques through modified training games, helping kids develop confidence, coordination, and a love for the game.

Program Focus:
Each week, athletes will participate in engaging drills and exercises that emphasize:

  • Bump: Teaching the fundamentals of the forearm pass for receiving serves and controlling the ball in play.
  • Set: Learning the overhead pass to accurately deliver the ball to teammates for attacks.
  • Spike: Introducing the basics of attacking the ball with controlled power and accuracy.

Training Approach:
To make learning fun and effective, we will use:

  • Modified Training Games: Games will be adapted to the skill level of the participants, using lower nets, lighter balls, and simplified rules to encourage participation and success.
  • Skill Progression: Each week builds on the previous session, ensuring that players gradually improve their skills in a structured, supportive environment.
